Will having a tiled conservatory roof add value to be property?

Yes, A Tiled conservatory roof fitted by Ultimate Roof Systems, turns the conservatory into a proper room and it will increase the value of your home.

Will the conservatory be comfortable enough to use as a dinning room?

Yes, Thanks to the fantastic U-Value you will be able to use your conservatory for any purpose you want. A dining room, Lounge, Garden Room, Kids play room, etc.

How long will it take to install?

A typical installation usually takes 3 – 5 days depending on the size of your conservatory, including plastering, painting and electrical work if applicable.

How much will it cost?

Will I be able to use my room all year round?

Yes. The addition of an Icotherm roof can make your room up to 90% warmer in winter and 70% cooler in summer whilst enjoying the
benefits of reduced noise pollution, no solar glare and extra privacy

Would I have to get planning permission?

Planning permission is not required to install a solid conservatory roof, as you are only replacing a roof on your existing conservatory.

Will my existing windows frames be strong enough to hold the new tiled conservatory roof?

Yes, the weight of our solid conservatory roofs is very similar to that of a traditional conservatory roof!  We find that 90% of the time window frames are suitable to carry the weight. The responsibility to ensure the window frames are suitable to carry our Tiled Conservatory Roof lies with our surveyor, who will be checking this as part of our initial survey.

Will my internal room feel darker?

On average you will loose 5-10% of light compared to a traditional conservatory roof, however we have options available to you which you may consider, such as Velux Roof windows with high performance glass.

We offer a wide range of exterior and interior finishes. We are confident we can help you find a great match for your existing style.

100% would recommend URSL! Very reliable and worked so quickly without compromising on quality. The team did a brilliant job on replacing our flat roof with a lean to style. It completely ties the ‘extension’ into the main house. Very happy customers here!

A fantastic job completed by Kev and Mark on my conservatory roof. It's transformed the look into a room we can use any time of year now, so much quieter in there now when it rains, thank you so much.

Kev & Mark did an amazing job of our new conservatory roof. We never used the conservatory before as the old glass roof either made the room freezing cold or boiling hot. So once we had the new roof, it felt as though we’d had an extension as we had another part of the house we could finally use! Great professional service and a surprisingly reasonable price for the amount of work involved. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I had a very dated lean to style roof replaced. Also my windows as everything was damp and mouldy but so so hot in summer. On the whole I am happy with the work, it made such a big difference to the room. It went from dumping ground which I rarely entered to something used daily. It also looks smart. I got a few quotes. URSL had a reasonable price (not cheapest for the roof but could do both items of work and I ideally wanted the windows done at the same time), Danny is a great 'front of house' for his business and seemed really friendly, they had good availability, they also had a great offer running (unfortunately I wasn't the winner but, what an opportunity). I do feel there are communication issues within the teams and there is work to be done on care/attention to detail. My job was originally booked in for around my Christmas break. I was off work and wasn't planning to use the room so staggered work around Christmas/bank holidays was fine by me. Day 1 (Monday) was wet so the roof couldn't be stripped - out of their hands, the forecast for the rest of the week was dry so I was optimistic. Got a call that my team now fancied 2 weeks off. Disappointing. Re-booked for the new year. I rearranged working/childcare commitments so I could be at home. Materials were delivered (looking back on it I should have seen the work wouldn't go ahead in December without the materials). Met the guys doing my job and they seemed friendly at all interactions. I was working at home so mostly left them to it. They made great progress the first day and got us stripped down and watertight again. Work was mostly completed in the next 2 weeks with a few delays due to weather/missing materials/family emergencies - not the end of the world. Plasterer did a quick and tidy job also when he was in. A wall light was snapped whilst working on on roof frame, annoying but as soon as I raised they agreed to replace like for like. Mid January I paid most of my balance other than an amount equivalent to my deposit, as there were window trims which had snapped on installation and a glazed unit was blown. Withholding was recommended by Danny. Waited in a couple of times for measurements to be taken for this work to be done and it was carried out in March. Upon my inspection 1 window trim was still damaged. I highlighted this and was assured it would be sorted but paid my remaining balance in good faith as it seemed something that could be easily resolved. I felt awful to raise the issue like I was nit picking but I had saved up for this job and wanted the room to be nice for once in its life. I even apologised for nit picking within my contact, was assured it would be sorted. May - still nothing so I queried politely. It is now nearly August. Had I nit picked I would have flagged a few other issues (I'm sure I am now forgetting things given the time that has passed); -Day 1, one of the work men used my bathroom. I was disgusted with the state of my toilet bowl that I then had to clean - despite toilet gel and brush being beside it. If I worked in people's homes I wouldn't expect them to clean up after me in that fashion. -I think it is quite unprofessional that I am being called to chase down a member of your team who is (by the sounds of it) screening your calls. -My paperwork said black guttering, I was given white. -I had to clear up dozens of cigarette butt's from around my garden and driveway. With a child who was of the age of putting things in her mouth. -I had to clean up several pieces of cut lead out of my lawn as well as used Stanley blades (some of which left rust stains on my relatively new Indian stone patio) -The window(s)/frames were not fully unwrapped before final pieces went together meaning I still have little bits of plastic wrap attached that I cannot get off. -A saw was left going rusty on my new roof, I climbed out of a bedroom window to retrieve it. -I was given tubes of caulk to finish filling some of the small gaps - and linked to that I was given a bag of filler to fill holes left from having to change my lights out "I would have done that for you usually" - There are several score marks I suspect from a Stanley knife in my new window frames - I now have a chip in the edge of my internal wooden french doors I feel I have been left absolute bottom of the pile so everyone else can get a 5 star service.

from the moment we bought our house ive hated the ugly conservatory roof, plastic so when it rained you had to close the patio doors, too hot in summer, freezing in winter, ive been contemplating a solid roof for a while but then last winter it sprang a leak!!!!! just the push we needed, I love the solid roof also blocked up one side to make a wall, 100% wish we had done it years ago now can't wait to make it into a room we can use, thanks guys would highly recommend this company

Thank you to Danny and team for the fantastic job in our conservatory. The craftsmanship and attention to detail surpassed all of our expectations. It has already changed how we use our house and we can not wait for summer to take full advantage of the bi-folds. Highly recommended.

Love it, does what it says, definitely keeps it warmer. Danny and Lee are grafters, worked from 8 until 5 without stopping, plasterer did it in a day also without stopping. We will get so much more use out of this room in winter now. Danny kept us informed all the time of what was happening and thats all you need. 100% recommend. If your thinking of having your roof done, don't think just get it done.
